Update to ACHC Standards

Posted: August 29, 2025

ACHC Standards for 2025 have been reviewed and minor changes made to reflect the goals of safe, high-quality, person-centered care that drive accreditation.
Standards that previously referenced “cultural diversity” have been updated to “patient-specific needs” or “patient-centered care.” The intent is individualization for each client/patient or service recipient.

Generally, these revisions should not require changes to your current policies or processes in order to maintain compliance unless you have chosen to remove references to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), in which case, you must ensure that you reference how your organization ensures that patient-specific needs are met.
