Ambulatory Care Accreditation
Recognizing high quality care in patient-friendly convenient care clinics.
I AM:
Making care accessible
Patients put their trust in you for high-quality, affordable health care as a quick alternative for non-emergency visits. Your stature in the community rests on the quality and accessibility of the care you provide to walk-in patients. ACHC Accreditation can support and enhance that reputation.
Our program for ambulatory care has been carefully built by ACHC staff and industry experts to develop and enhance consistency in the care you provide. We have years of experience helping care clinic providers achieve and maintain accreditation, and this has led us to craft an innovative, educational process for you and your organization. Ambulatory Care Accreditation services and distinctions
Services
ACHC Standards—the requirements you must meet to achieve ACHC Ambulatory Care Accreditation—are designed to be relevant to your business model. ACHC will work in partnership with you to build a customized accreditation solution based on your needs. View available services and distinctions below.
Convenient Care Clinic Accreditation was developed to meet the needs of affordable walk-in clinics that are either free-standing or located in retail stores, supermarkets, or pharmacies. Convenient Care Clinics offer a broad range of services and provide patients easy access to high-quality, affordable health care. Convenient Care Clinics offer patients a quick alternative for non-emergency care. Care is usually provided by nurse practitioners or physician assistants.
Distinctions
Distinctions offer additional recognition for ambulatory care locations that go above and beyond expectations for basic convenient care. This option must be earned in conjunction with (or after being awarded) Convenient Care Accreditation by ACHC.
This additional recognition focuses on the provision of care to clients/patients with acute or chronic conditions, using telehealth technology that allows monitoring in the clinical or home environment. This technology creates disease management empowerment and independence, improved access to care, increased collaboration among healthcare providers, and improved client/patient outcomes. Standards were based on telehealth clinical guidelines of the American Telemedicine Association.
Ready to get started?
Accreditation can serve to set you apart from your competitors. If your clinic is associated with a pharmacy, sits within a corporate retailer, is a stand-alone location of a corporate parent, or an independent, community-based provider, ACHC will collaborate to ensure that our program helps you achieve your goals.
