Home Infusion
Therapy Accreditation
Your patients trust you to safely provide the
medication they need. We’re here to bolster that trust.
ACHC Accreditation ensures Medicare eligibility and fortifies your quality of care.
We’ve raised the bar, so you can too.
Our accreditation program for home infusion therapy nurses and suppliers has been carefully built by ACHC staff and industry experts to develop and display your caliber of care. We take strategic measures regarding education, assessment, medication review, plan of care, and the medication administration provided by nurses in patients’ homes. By providing educational resources, including FAQs and crosswalks detailing the latest changes in standards, we become a partner to you in achieving and maintaining accreditation, thus increasing your referrals and patient base.
ACHC is recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as a national accreditor for home infusion therapy suppliers. This means our surveys meet or exceed Medicare requirements, including reimbursement rules mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act that became effective January 1, 2021.
We prioritize support—we’re here for you before, during, and after the survey. Get personalized advice from our Account Advisors and 24/7 access to our collection of educational resources. At ACHC, we’re here to empower you to meet your accreditation goals—and build a lasting partnership along the way.
Demonstrate your commitment to compliance and quality, while giving your patients peace of mind and the comfort of treatment in their home.
Demonstrate Your Commitment to Excellence.

Home Infusion Therapy Accreditation Services
Services
HITS
Home Infusion Therapy Supplier services involve the administration of parenteral medications via various accesses and ports provided by a qualified Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or skilled professional, as allowed by state regulations, specifically trained in these specialized services. These services are provided in the home. A Registered Nurse or Pharmacist is responsible for supervision of all HITS services.
Providers seeking to meet the CMS Conditions for Coverage (CfCs) to receive Medicare reimbursement for infusion nursing services provided in the home must be accredited under ACHC’s Home Infusion Therapy Accreditation program.
