Documentation remains the leading compliance challenge for sleep facilities, according to the latest Quality Review edition of Surveyor, our annual report of top deficiencies for ACHC programs.
The most-cited standard underscores an ongoing issue with missing or incomplete documentation for many sleep facilities. Examples of recent survey findings highlight familiar shortcomings:
- Client/patient records were missing pre- and post-testing questionnaires.
- Home sleep testing client/patient records lacked documentation of the type of device used for the study.
