The latest Quality Review edition of Surveyor highlights both persistent compliance gaps and meaningful progress for DMEPOS suppliers. Ten standards were cited as noncompliant on more than 15% of ACHC DMEPOS Accreditation surveys, with three tied to the provision of information to clients/patients.
While compliance has improved in some areas since 2022—when this cohort of organizations was last surveyed—deficiencies related to documentation and staff training are on the rise, underscoring the need for regular competency assessments and audits of intake processes.

For the fifth straight year, DRX7-12D was the most frequently cited standard. Even though noncompliance rates fell from 42% in 2022 to 30% in 2025, challenges remain around equipment cleaning, storage, and delivery.
In other areas, DMEPOS suppliers are making significant strides in elevating compliance, showing a dedicated commitment to ongoing improvement.
