achc approved FOR CALIFORNIA LICENSURE SURVEYs

Due to the high volume of home health licensure applications, California home health agencies are currently facing a delay of up to 2 years for licensure surveys by the state agency. Because of this delay, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is encouraging providers to take advantage of accreditation organizations such as ACHC to expedite their licensing approval process.

Did you know there is an alternative to The Joint Commission for home health licensure and accreditation?

Agencies seeking a different kind of home health accreditation experience are opting for ACHC's consultative, provider-focused approach. Additionally, we are able to offer prompt survey scheduling within 25 days of readiness. ACHC is a nonprofit AO that specializes in home health accreditation and has deeming authority from CMS, relevant and realistic standards developed by industry experts, and Surveyors who are Registered Nurses.

ACHC has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence for over 30 years and has a Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Consultative Survey Approach

“Our Surveyor, by far, was the most thorough and informative hospice Surveyor I have worked with (including 4 prior Joint Commission surveys). She recognized the areas we excel in, and educated us in areas requiring improvement in a manner that was professional with the level of expertise that I would look for in a Surveyor.”

Relevant Standards

“What stood out the most was your standards and supplemental materials, The standards took the guesswork out of Medicare CoPs. The interpretations were clear, and if some weren't, we always had someone at ACHC available to explain them.”

Education

“What we liked most about the process is how much we learned, especially about charting and how to be extremely clear. We found the whole process to be a very valuable education in best practices.”
